Kifune Shrine<

Kifune Shrine

Kifune Shrine, with its stunning 1600 year long history, is beautifully located in a mountain valley surrounded by forest. Legend has it that the shrine was founded when a goddess named Tamayorihime no Mikoto travelled on a yellow boat up the rivers from Osaka Bay and landed in Kifune, where she was enshrined as the goddess of water.<Yasuhiro Imamiya Photography>
